Hi all. This is my first post of hopefully many to come. We have landed in Finland safe and sound! FINALLY! If I said I wasn't stressed out or tired or overwhelmed, I'd be lying. This is an extremely overwhelming process but the hardest part is saying goodbye to everybody and getting here. It can only get better from here.
Our house was waiting for us. Unfortunately our shipping container was not. I keep praying for some miracle, but Andrew says it will be after Easter weekend until we get our stuff. No TV, no couch, no bed. Oh, how much I miss my bed!!!! Thankfully Jussi was here with a welcome package of blankets, towels, and a couple of groceries. Unfortunately we cannot live off a loaf of bread and margarine for two weeks, so we rented a car today for one week. Paid for their cheapest and smallest car, and ended up with a BMW. Can't complain about that.
Anxiously awaiting Andrew's return from work (to sign a few papers) and then we're off to find a grocery store. Here's hoping lots of things are packaged in clear materials with lots of pictures so we can figure out what we are buying.
